When my son died, it was so important for people to speak his name. To incorporate his life, in our day to day lives. The way he died, is tragic to me. He died, so I could live. I don't know any greater gift, than the gift of life.
God gave His son.
His name is JESUS.
He died, so we could live. FOREVER.
When people just simply forget my son, it makes me angry. Just because he is gone, why does that make it okay to not speak his name? Why do people continue on with their lives, living as if every day is not a gift. We are not promised a tomorrow. We are not promised next hour.
I truly cannot even come close to imagining, how hurt God must be over His creation. A creation that was made out of glorious love. A creation that was saved with the life of His son. He allowed His son to be nailed to a cross. To die alone. Completely forsaken. Can you even imagine for one moment, putting your child somewhere alone, and let them suffer for hours, as they die? Wondering where their mommy or daddy is.
God did this for you and for me.
Jesus did this for you and for me.
He knew what he was doing. He did it out of love. The same love that was used when God made His creation.
I cannot and will not, go through the holiday's, or even day to day life, and not think about my son. His name is Isaiah. He died, so I could live.
I cannot and will not, go through day to day life, and not think about God's son. His name is Jesus. He died, so you could live!
As Easter approaches, I think about Jesus. Not some fluffy happy bunny.

Amen. And thank God He did...so we will see our sons again one day too!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! Such truth, such power in those words. Thank you for the reminder!!
ReplyDeleteIsaiah has totally and completely touched my heart in such a special way. I take comfort in knowing my boys have your sweet baby boy up in heaven with them.
ReplyDeleteI really dislike when people forget my boys. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think about them and the love we have for them.
*hugs* my dear friend. Thinking of our boys this Easter!
What a great post, Jennifer! Thank you for re-directing my heart.
ReplyDeleteWell said Jenny.

Jenny,
ReplyDeleteJohn 3:16...not some bunny, you nailed it.
Remembering sweet Isaiah, he's never forgotten sweet friend, never. I pray you have a nice holiday, as we honor the King of Kings.
xoxo
So beautifully written, sweet Jennifer! Thank you for this...
ReplyDeleteNo bunny thoughts here! But sadly I didn't have many Jesus thoughts either. I didn't really think of anything.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure God is sad how many of His beloved children turn away from Him. I pray that the hearts of many to be opened up.
What a powerful, powerful post!!!!! Amen!!!
