I really don't know where to start. So I'm just going to "spit" it out. I am so full of pain and grief. I suppose that I would be just like most bereaved parents... but I'm not. I'm not taking away the pain of any other hurting parent. I just feel so tied down with guilt. When I read other women's blogs, I get a sense of peace that they have within themselves. They didn't have a choice... just horrible life changing news. I'm not able to accept what has happened to Isaiah. He was alive. He was a healthy little boy. Nothing was "wrong." He just kept on growing and growing... completely untouched by the clot and bleeding that were in my uterus.
I was told that it was both of us or one of us. Are you kidding me God? I know that I haven't been a saint in this lifetime, but come on... both of us or one of us. This isn't a choice that a mother makes. Some can say, "he was going to die either way," but let me tell you, it doesn't make me feel any better at all! It's a never ending battle of pain and emptiness. I feel like I'm being punished.
Something terrible was spoken to me yesterday. For the last 24 hours, I was really asking myself if I wanted to share it with other people. I have given my heart so freely to you all, and have decided to share what happened.
The very SHORT conversation went like this:
Me: "I had such a hard time with Christmas and not having Isaiah here."
Other Person: "Can't you just be thankful for what you have now(Ezekiel) and stop dwelling on the past."
Me: "He can't be replaced! He's not a material!! I feel so bad because he didn't die from natural causes."
Other Person: "You mean cause you pulled the trigger on him?"
I will never speak the name of this other person. I'll just say that it would make you sick to your stomach if I told you who it was! You wouldn't believe your ears!
I don't know how many times those words have ran over and over in my head. Every time I look at his picture. Every time I think of my little boy.... cause you pulled the trigger on him... you murderer.
I've never felt greater pain.
I'm in need of some major prayer.
